Hi there. I am an avid fan and lover of poetry. I enjoy composing it as well as reading it. Oftentimes I find composing art comprised of words are a true reflection of my thoughts and sentiments. I've composed poetry pieces for family members and close friends for the purpose of communicating to them my true love for them. Sometimes poetry is the most appropriate form of communicating to others my sympathies and other heartfelt emotions in both joyous and difficult times in their lives.
At the beginning of the year, I found out about a poetry club in my area, and even though I only ended up going to one meeting, I found it very interesting. Though I'm "just a teenager", I've already picked up some things I know are essential to poetics. Meaning, I've learned that importance doesn't always lay in rhyme scheme; rather, a poem's important when you express something. It's an outlet, I think. And, if you can actually share your personal beliefs and ideas through poetry, it can be an informative, provoking outlet, too.
I love poetry! It's such a beautiful form of art that should be shared more universally!
